Keeping the Conversation Going: Project Ule Takes Vaccine Confidence to the Airwaves

When we asked young Nigerian parents where they get information about childhood vaccines, 33% pointed to social media. But here's the challenge: many weren't sure if what they were seeing was accurate, and even fewer felt comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment.

This gap between information and confidence is exactly what Project Ule set out to bridge.

Since its launch in August 2024, Project Ule, an initiative by Corona Management Systems (CMS) in collaboration with the Sabin Vaccine Institute, has been transforming how young, emerging Nigerian parents think and talk about childhood immunisation. What began as a bold experiment in digital listening and behavioural insights has grown into a vibrant movement, one that is making vaccine conversations more open, youthful, and engaging.

From Insights to Action

Through social listening and community engagement, Project Ule has gathered valuable insights into how young parents, particularly those aged 20 to 34, perceive vaccines. These insights have helped shape creative communication strategies that address misinformation, build trust, and make immunisation messages more relatable to today's digital generation.

Following the co-creation workshop with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), state immunisation officers, and new-generation parents, Project Ule began implementing key recommendations from young parents and health experts. The goal? Creating safe spaces where caregivers can ask questions, share experiences, and receive accurate information without judgment.

During these engagements, one insight stood out clearly: Young parents want health information that is engaging, relatable, and woven into everyday conversations, not lectures or clinical pamphlets.

Introducing the Project Ule Podcast

To build on this momentum, the team launched the Project Ule Podcast: "Parenting, Vaccines & Vibes" , a lively, youth-driven platform that brings health conversations closer to everyday life.
